In the connection with the project, from time to time I have to inform  about actions, which are taken by youth participating in classes  of Gminno Parkowe Centrum Kultury i Ekologii w Plichtowie. Some people I have met before, at the opportunity of Grundtvig programme, in which i.a. Campina Municipality and Nowosolna Municipality were partners.   

A big surprise for me was the fact that after my arrival I saw welcoming delegation at the airport, which consists of the head of GPCKiE and young people. The greeting was very warm, the group of people was holding a poster with my name and surname and white-red snowman.

Because of the fact that I am not a person who usually visit the church, preferring to pray alone in peace and quiet, but not with other people, I don’t know all the rituals from the orthodox church and even less those from catholic church. Also, I want to say that I was baptised in the orthodox church, but I agree with any kind of religion on this Earth, which promote values like equality between men and women, the love towards people and for all God’s creation (animals, plants, etc.). So, I see God’s creation in all that is around me and therefore I respect it.

Maybe no other season is so spectacular like spring is. In this season, temperatures starts to grow up, when the nature is reborn with snowmelt which we could see everywhere during the winter, plants begin a new cycle and make a big carpet of green and full of flagrances, birds returns from warmer countries to caress our ears with the most beautiful songs, even the bears wake up from their long sleep. I can say that we enjoy seeing this beautiful spectacle of the nature.

Outside is still winter even if the first day of spring will come very soon… anywhere I look around I see only snow and I am asking to myself when the spring will come in Poland.

Before my arriving in Poland I was announced that I must take part in a training during 18^th to 24^th March 2013 in the capital of Poland, Warsaw.

How beautiful it is to see that women aren’t forgotten and people from here have prepared something special with this occasion of International Women’s Day which is dedicated to them.

2nd March 2013 – my journey to Poland started with the boarding in the plane... Looking at my family for the last minutes before the boarding, I started to feel big emotions inside which made me feel like I don’t want to get in that plane... but I’ve said to myself that this is the plane which will take me to Poland, to be a volunteer during one year.

Situated in the central part of Poland, Lodz is the third biggest city of this country, with more than 700 000 inhabitants.

The name of this city means boat, picture which is on the city’s flag.

The first written record of the city is in year 1332, when Lodz appears as a village, after many years king Wladyslaw Jagiello granted city rights.
