On 25th August 2013 in the Commune
Centre of Culture and Ecology took place Harvest Festival. I found out that the
tradition is that Harvest Festival always takes place on the last Sunday of
August. The weather was perfect for the outdoor event.

In my first article about current
activities of young people I mentioned Greek Evening which was organized from
the initiative of vocal – dance group FUEGO of course with the support of our
cultural center. It took place on 20th April 2013. In the Community Center of
Culture and Ecology in Plichtów gathered a lot of people, a large hall was over
brimmed. Audience liked "Beautiful Helen" performance, as well as
dance workshops with learning steps, which were the last part of the evening.
People who came in that day to GPCKiE tried willingly Greek food.

Father's Day is an important event
during the year. This event is a respectability to all fathers and it’s
celebrated in many countries. The history of this event dates back over 100
years.

This holiday is celebrated in the
night between 23rd and 24th June – during the eve of St. John the Baptist. It’s
also an attempt to assimilate pagan rituals by Catholicism which are associated
with the summer solstice. But this event isn’t celebrated in the same day
everywhere in the world. For example, in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia people
celebrate it on 7th July, event known as Ivan Kupala Day.

Poles call the first three days of
May as Majówka, when they celebrate Labour’s Day (1st May), Flag Day (2nd May)
and Constitution Day (3rd May). These days represent national days in Poland,
on the 1st and 3rd May people don’t go to work. If it happens that these three
days to be connected with the weekends, some people will take off from work for
the 2nd of May, creating in this way a mini-holiday of 5 days.

We all remember about childhood,
when we were playing with the other children or when we shared all with our
friends.
For all of us, childhood is a magic
period, in which we seemed to have more energy, the fruits were tastier and the
grandma’s cakes were exceptionally. I remember when my grandma used to tell me
stories at fireside, when it was so cold outside. All of these memories seem to
be the pages of a book of fairy tales.

Thanks to their contribution in
sustaining and developing the society, the whole world devotes a specific day
to celebrate the mothers. I believe that parents should be celebrated every day
by respecting them.
Almost in all world, people
celebrate this specific day dedicated to the one who gave us birth, but in the
day isn’t the same everywhere. But I think it isn’t so important that there
isn’t an international day for it. More important is the fact that this event
takes place in the whole world.

3rd May is the last of the three
days dedicated for the event called, here in Poland as "Majówka" . On this day Poles celebrate the adoption of the
first Polish constitution, which is the first in Europe and second in the world
after the constitution of Unites States. I think they are reasons to be proud
and happy to celebrate it.

For those who are patriotic, the
colours of national flag are so important like the national anthem, emblem or
history. The flag is a way to identify through which anyone can feel not only a
simple citizen of that country, but even more, an active part of what his
country means in the world.
For me and for other Romanians, the colours
of national flag are sacred and I keep them deep in my soul, in the memory of
my ancestors.

Here's a day when all workers take
part in this celebration, forgetting sometimes the true meaning of this day in
the world.
But after all why we need a day of
workers? What is the history of this celebration and why on International
Workers' Day in many countries around the world nobody works?
